I was wondering if anyone found a way to resolve the poor PCI slot powering of the BP6 and got this setup working. I have the approved power supply, (actually, now I have two), so you can save those recommendations.

I won't go through the nearly two week exchange I had on MURC and Matrox forums about this with DaveD (who found the solution).
Suffice it to say, I purchased an Antec "SmartPower" 300W unit from CompUSA for $49.00 and my problems with the BP6+RRG went away. I don't know what an "approved" power supply for this configuration is, but I swapped SmartPower's into *three* BP6+RRG systems with the tuner dropout problems and they have functioned without a hitch ever since.
BTW: The offending units in my case were Enlight 300W units that were "PCI 2.03", not "PCI 2.01" compliant, FWIW. These were good quality XEON power supply units.

hello,
I asked about the difference between the certified power supplies and the non-cert supplies, and the answer to me sounded like it was just the certification for the power supply to be sold in different countries. I do not have the original quote I was given, and it was by a reputable source. It looks like the cost is about $15 more for the cert one, than the uncertified one. In any case, I urge that most people have a 300 watt power supply in their computers that do gaming, video work, or any other computer work that taxes the system. This is of course if you have a system that needs it, and is able to accept a 300 watt.

if a sb!live value counts I do. Is anything on the card working? or is it only the TV-Tunner(in that case it is the powersupply that is the fault else its just a defect card). If you are going to use the card in windows 2000 my advice is to get a refund and get a capturecard with working drivers (and a soundcard what support SMP as well).
