G200 Marvel+MSP, juddery image during rendered effects

I use Media Studio Pro 5.2 with a Matrox Marvel TV G200 card. The source and target files are both in MJPEG AVI format, 29.97 fps, two fields per frame (i.e., a standard NTSC setup).

The software works fine when I do simple cut edits. However, anything that requires rendering (dissolves, superimposed titles, etc.) has jumpy movement when I output to an NTSC monitor.

What's the solution? Is this a field-order issue?

Possibly. Make sure MSPro is set to render the video to field order B.
