MSP 6 Capture

For no apparent reason, MSP 6 has developed a problem. Attempting to run video capture a small dialogue box "loading capture driver" sulks in the middle of the screen and does not proceed. I have reverted via ghost to an install that did not previously have this problem (no MSP installation), but the problem is still there after installing MSP 6.

This has me beaten. Might it have something to do with the installation of RT X10 XTRA ?

Might have something to do with XTRA.

I have just now removed xtra, reinstalled Matrox toools from the original cd and the problem is no longer in the same format. The problem now is that MSP Capture does not load and gives the message "Video Capture is unable to access the capture device. Make sure the capture driver has been installed and is not being used by another program. If you choose to continue, you can only play back existing video files.
