Finally Gave Up on G400 Marvel
I've had the card for some years and really enjoyed it through 3 Win98 machines. I got mostly great captures with any incarnation of the Drivers/Vidtools. But, since going with a P4 HT, and WinXP Pro, things just weren't the same. Even with all of Adis' hard work and help, which I totally admire
, I was just getting mostly crap captures.
I got a new card (brand name withheld) and a DataVideo, "DAC-100", Analog to Firewire/Firewire to Analog, for the capturing of any source I have, straight to DV format and DV back out to anything I have that will record either analog or DV. Plus a Sima "SCC Pro ColorCorrector" for "tuning up" my VHS tapes, and "one other thing it does very well" ;- ). I'm REALLY liking this new setup !!
Anyway, I thank Matrox for making a a card that kept me happy for a few years, and all you MURCer's who are always ready and willing to help peeps out in times of need.
