Aryko, would iu mind taking a look at my site? I have uploaded some video-on-demand content using the Windows Media Server, optimized for different connections. I wanna try if the server detects in realtime the type of connection and , while watching, adjusts the video quality for the bandwith.
In theory, if your connections drops for a small percentage while watching the video, the server should send a smaller but lower quality video data, making the "buffering lags" dissapear. www.dai.es/videos.html
I have optimized too for two kind od streams: low bandwith ( ISDN one or two channels ) and high bandwith ( ADSL/cable/Tx )
I´d like to hear your opinions ´bout it.
    Thanx

Hi Ed (Ed Bastion? S'what I'll go with)

Clicking on the link you provided gives me a 404 error - but I managed to find the video content through the main menu.

Tried to access the high-speed content, my errors are:

Cannot find: http://www.dai.es/Music-high.asf. Please verify that the path and filename are correct. (Error=80070002)

Could not connect to server: mmsu://www.dai.es/Music-high.asf. Please see the help file. (Error=C00D0006)

Cannot open. Please verify that the path and filename are correct and try again. (Error=C00D0006)

I get this error on all of your links.

Nice site design, however. Something you may wish to keep in mind though is that Mac users (I think) don't typically have access to resources that let them play .asf files. Realplayer is a bit lower quality but cross-platform, unless you can encode in Quicktime as well.

Aryko, are iu accessing the web through a proxy server? I have noticed that, as this new streaming technology uses special UDP ports ( that´s why the header is mms:// instead of http:// ) , it´s possible that iu cannot get to the files propertly. In fact, from my work, I can´t see them. This didn´t happen when I used plain HTTP MPEG4, though. I´m thinking about taking back the old links that pointed to the static streaming method , giving the option to the user to use latest or not-so-latest technology. Meanwhile, try out the old ones:

        Thanks for the post
