  • What DVD burning package would you recommend?

May I firstly say thanks to all for the input on my previous question about DVD authoring... it's really good to get info from those who know what's what!

I'm now the proud owner of a DVD-RW with a slideshow on it that works in my old (and unwell) Sony DVD player (was just a test!) I look forward to creating more DVDs in time!

Now, just one more question on the subject... what DVD burning software would you recommend?

I've got a Panasonic DVD-RAM, -R / -RW drive (LF-D521E) and it came bundled with 'B's Recorder Gold 5' which doesn't seem to be brilliant.

    So recommendations please!

    Cheers,

      Hi Jerry,

Would it not be true to say that these are 'Authoring Packages' with burning built in?

I'm a bit new to this burning business, but at work I have Roxio to burn CDs, at home B's Recorder Gold 5 to burn CDs and DVDs.

I've heard of Nero - I've never used it, but I guess it's primarily a burning package. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The DVD-lab was recommended as an Authoring Package and it can burn DVDs - however, it didn't seem to work with my drive with a DVD-RW in a Panasonic drive. I used B's Recorder Gold 5 instead - it did work, but gave very poor visual feedback as to what it was actually doing.

Am I barking up the wrong tree here?

      Cheers,

Try Nero if you need a DVD burning package.
You can also "author" VCD's and make slide shows.
I am quit happy with it.
