  • Example of "moving stills" as they should be done.....

I saw this post on the MUG list today and thought it would be illustrative of what can be done in MSPro7 (32 megs).

    Great work Capt. DeLancey!!
In light of all the talk about using "moving stills" in video the following link is a movie I recently created as the finale for the Senior Officer Leadership Course for the US Navy.

    All done in Mediastudio 7.01.

    Comments welcome ...

Doesn't seem to play for me. Mozilla "downloaded" it quickly (200-300 KB/sec according to the indicator) and launched media player. MP then put up its 0%buffering logo for about three times longer than it downloaded. Now its counting seconds about 1/3rd real time and only shows a color mosaic on the bottom ~10% of the MP window.

      wmv sucks.

wkulecz, you need the Windows Media Video 9 codec.
Let MediaPlayer download that codec from Micro$oft site

I'm not that intrested in seeing it. That's why I think wmv and its "codec of the day sucks.

I thought it was supposed to automatically download it, since it didn't ask, I assumed I had the codec installed from playing something else.

I think the video was very well done, but I do have some comments...

Due to the nature of the clip, some stills zoom/pan very fast where I personally think the nice smooth slow pan/zoom should've been applied instead.

Also the use of 3D and some odd transition was totally unnecessary, a simply cross dissolve or a wipe would've been easier on the eye and more appropriate for this type of footage.

Other than that I really liked it!

            Well done!

            Cheers,
            Elie
