  • how to show on tv a files 720x240 with marvel g400

I would like to show a file with the 720x240 on a tv with a matrox marvel g400.

If it's possible tell me how, if not just tell me isn't possible.

    thanks in advance.

720x240? That isn't a standard mode for any codec I know of. The Matrox legal ones are 176x120, 352x240, 352x480 and 704x480.

You could likely show a clip of 720x480 if you had DVDMax enabled in PowerDesk and a software codec installed for a supporting codec that can use it. DV is an example. So is MPEG-2 on a DVD disk.

Judging from the other post he made I think he wants to view DivX movies with that resolution. It's not possible. Read this for further info:

I have a 720x320 AVI-file which uses the DivX codec for the video-part and I am not able to play it on my TV through DVDMax (I have a Marvel 400).

I think I have read somewhere that this is caused by the fact that the horizontal resolution of 720 pixels is not a multiple of 32. If someone has more information about this, please let me know.

Moonpo, from your last post I got the impression that you got it working. Can you please tell me how?

Spielberg what you have to do is download the program virtualdub and after you have to rebuilt your movie. When you rebuilt your movie yes you have to specified a screen with a multiple of 32 and it's working.

            Have a good movie
