Is the blue x normal?

I started playing with my rt.x10 and in a matrox project my preview screen is a blue x not the video like in all the other projects. Is this normal? is there a way to turn this off, so I can see the video? I can alt-scrub to see the correct output but that seems odd for times when there are no FX. Am I doing something wrong?

are you importing a video that is not encoded with the matrox DV codec? if so it will have to be rendered.

is there a way to encode as you get it from the camera?

Yep, just import it by itself, render and export clip as matrox rt.
now restart the project and use the new file.

well the blue x is gone. I started a new matrox project and recaptured the video and poof, the blue x is gone.
