Driver Question....

I've got a game that needs the current G400 driver to run. But, I also have a RRG, and it's driver is 7 months old.

Has anyone tried the new G400 driver with the aging RRG driver? I want to play my game, but I'm not willing to sacrifice video capture to do it.

Also, are there any compatability problems with DirectX 8?

Would you simply have tried it you would already know the answer. You can always uninstall if it doesn't work. Assuming you're using win9x, using the latest drivers and directx8 should work just fine, in fact for me it's working better than ever. If you're using win2k it's a different story. Those vidtools don't work right with the suggested drivers, with the latest it's even worse.

Yeah, I have no idea WTF matrox was thinking of the latest Win2k video tools.

Must have fallen down the stairs or something.
