Leadtek TV2000 Deluxe issue

Hi!
A friend of mine just bought this card, against my recomandation (Terratec 400), and has some big problems:
1) in winxp, the card does not overlay, either capturing or viewing.
2) when using a third party capture software like avi_io, the capture doesn't work above 320x240.
His config is:
p3 1ghz, radeon 7500, win xp (donno if sp1)
I tried to install the btwincap variant, but with the same results. Any ideas?
