  • HELP! mpeg messedup in mspro

i've been trying to get frameserving to successfully work, but in that attempt somehow i have messedup my mpeg renderingin mspro. i've uninstalled and reinstalled, but no help. i can't make successful mpeg2 or mpeg1/vcd files w/ it anymore. What happens noow is that it almost looks like it jumps back some frames and plays, then jumps back again then plays some more, like just skips back some frames, but then jumps back to where it was. does anyone know how to fix this? i recently had installed the frameservers from videotools and that free one. any suggestions? thanks

Your message is a little vague. We must know your hardware/software setup, what application you are frameserving to and whether, if you manually go out of MSP and into the encoder, it works OK.

You should realise that if you have both MSP (version?) and an external encoder working simultaneously, via a frameserver, you are using many more resources than if you are just using one at a time. If your computer does not have enough oomph, then you may come unstuck.

i'm using XP, well it started when i was frameserving, but now it does it, just when encoding something from uleasd mspro7.

i noticed it didn't happen when i went from mpeg1 to mpeg1, but it does do it when i try to go from mpeg2 to something else.

it used to work right, but now it doesn't, so i know its not a hardware limitation/problem.

      any suggestions?

whats weird is, i installed mspro 6.0 and it doesn't have teh same problem w/ the mpeg2 files that 7.0 has, i've tried reinstalling the mspro 7.0 package, but it doesn't help., i've also tried alll the patch, i don't know how to fix this , other than perhaps formatting.... any ideas?
