  • Layers, masks...

I was making a smal clip where i wanted to remowe the "background" and then place that clip ontop another clip like multilayer pic's in PSP5-7.
I couldent find a way to do it in MSP 5 VE so i wound up doing it by hand (140 frames ).

Because of that i have 2 questions:

Is there a way to select a area in a clip and let it be deleted in multiple frames? (so a undelaying frame(s) can be seen)
In MSP 5 VE or VirtualDub?
    (Bluescreen is not apliable)

VirtualDub has a funtion where it lets you divide an avi to BMP files but i couldent find a way to make them become an avi again in Virtualdub??

    If any one is interested..
    The Clip ~250Kb

I think your best bet is to turn them into bitmaps and remove the background in a program like PhotoImpact where you can do manual selections. When saving them out I'd turn them into 24 bit *.tga's with transparancy.

Then I'd use MSPro's ability to form an "Image sequence" clip. This will let you treat them as a single video file. This will make keying the background easier later since you can use the alpha channel key.

What I'm not sure about is if MSP5.x VE does image sequences or not.

      Thanks Doc!

But that's esentialy the way i did.
Thought your way has fewer steps

Do PhotoImpact alowe you to edit a series of bitmaps's in one batch?
