... I've forgotten to notice - the last time when my RRG & Mystique G200 worked fine (I posted here about this) and there were no problems with those avi files - it was just before I had to move Win XP Pro from my system... there are some minor changes I've made since - the partition where seats now XP (D is formatted to NTFS, RAM was upgraded from 128 MB to 256MB (at last!)...

I hope someone can help me here. On hearing of Adis' efforts I dusted down and reconnected my RR-G to the G400 and installed VT3.04+ with PD 5.91.008. Into my 1800 Athlon with XP pro

The TV tuner works fine, sound is good. However there is no sound on the recorded video, whether I choose MJPEG or YUV encoding or even if I use AVI-IO the result is silent. "Video and Audio" is selected in the record options. and I have tried adjusting the recording levels to no avail.

If I play back a recording in Media Player, properties say that the audio codec is "Morgan Stream Switcher" is this correct?

Have I missed something obvious here?

Big up to Adis for his hard work

"matrox hardware not available. there may be other software using it.and not enough video memory"

FWIW I've even seen this with earlier Matrox Drivers and Win 98! on my system. Usually it is immediately after reboot following install when Quickconnect auto runs. PCVCR can be run before Quickconnect appears on screen. The message means what it says!!

Thanks for your reply Vic. What is FWIW? And yes your right it is when quick connect auto starts strait after reboot. But not sure what you mean PCVCR can be run before quick connect.I dont get chance to do anything before that starts.also it seems to me there is nothing else running nor using this hardware. As I had this trouble I decided to do a clean install of XP pro.installed the system drivers and then the latest power desk and then video tools.if you try to use video tools it does the quick connect thing and says the error message.PS. No trouble installing and the earlier vid tools work but they have an unstable capture.
Like I say Vic....Thanks for the responce and any help would be gladly accepted..

                    NOTE

Drivers from http://adis.szm.com was tested by me with Marvel G400-TV only!

I'm not sure how it works with Marvel G400 (noTV), Marvel G200 (TV or not), RRG,...
                    There are different experiences...

I created drivers for me first and later
I shared it with other users...

You can use it if you want at your own risk,
I'm not responsible for any limitations or problems...

I have been using my G 400 - TV on all Windows Operating Systems and so far I have always managed to get it to work.
It is mportant to install the video drivers FIRST and re-boot .
In Win XP after installing the video tools you must:

                      Run Registry Editor (regedit)

                      Highlight:
                      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum

Right click on Enum > Permissions > Select Everyone >
Allow Full Control > Click OK > Exit Registry.

                      Try it.

                      Debbie
We pass this way only once. Make the most of it !

Is something up with your page Adis? I am trying like the dickens to download the 3.04+ vid tools and nothing is happening. I have clicked repeatedly and it's like there is no link to the drivers.
I have downloaded everything else I need.

                        Thanks

Use Internet Explorer and disable pop-up blocker,
download page will open in new IE window

btw I can recommend [to all] Avant Browser, it's based
on IE and have much more functionality and IE plug-ins
works with Avant which is tabbed and support skins...
It also have integrated pop-up blocker which works great

                            hi,

i bought my Marvel G400TV second-hand and just installed it under windows XP using this tool.

But i have two problems i am not able to solve:

                            1. I'm Using my TV as my only screen, so i use "Dualhead CLONE", but whenever i start "Matrox PC-VCR" the Video-Overlay is zoomed to full-screen and i can't see the on-screen remote control or any other things of my desktop. "Dualhead DVD-MAX" is disabled, but somehow the program seems to override this setting. How can i change this?

                            2. Whenever i try to use another program to show the tv-capturing input, it shows nothing. Other tools say, there is no wdm-driver installed or cannot find capture device. What's this and how can i fix it?

It would be nice if someone could help me.

                            bye,
                            hewi

P.S. : I'm German so please excuse my bad english

                              1. If you use VT 3.04+ with pd v5.39.019. the TV will always be full scren, but if you use them with pd 5.92. it wont.

                              2. These drivers are not WDM but they work with Virtual dub or avi io. I'm using Virtual Dub with Pic video codec (Virtual DVR is great tool if you want to timer capture with Virtual Dub).

                                hi,

                                thx for the reply.

Could you please tell me where i can get this PD 5.92 ?

I downloaded the PD 5.92 WinXP - Matrox-Millenium G400 drivers, but they say, my Graphics-Card (Marvel G400-TV) is not supported.

                                bye,
