Hi guys. This isn't really matrox related, but I know you guys are experts, so I thought I'd ask here.
A friend of mine recently moved to Canada from Tanzania, and brought his PAL analog video camera and videos with him. Now he wants a way to capture these videos onto his thinkpad, and possibly convert them into NTSC for dumping back to video tape. He'll need a hardware solution using PCMCIA, USB, or Parallel (no PCI, since it's a laptop). The more important part is the capture, since right now the only way he has to watch the videos is through the camera's viewfinder . Does anyone have any experience with any hardware that does this sort of thing? What would you recommend?
