First the facts:
I promised my dad to capture his holiday video, edit it and burn it on a DVD.
He used an analog camera, which I connected to my PC through the composite In on my AIW 8500DV.
Somehow the card seems to have a problem with that, because when I start capturing, at some point the film stops (picture freezes), usually when a new scene starts. This happens in Virtual Dub as well as with the ATI MMC (newest).
Also, sometimes I have to rewind, stop, ffw, rewind etc. on the camera itself so that I see anything else but a frozen still from it on the PC, although its still playing back on the camera.
So does this mean my card is broken, could it be the drivers, something to do with windows, or maybe the cables? Any advice is appreciated
PS: I know this is likely an ATI problem, but I thought I'd ask here first, before throwing myself into the rage3d forum jungle
