  • DVR software for G450eTV ?

    Hi,
I'm looking for a DVR software that works with my G450eTV card. I really like AVI_IO but the "timer" only works with Brooktree based tuners. PC-VCR timer doesn't work at all and besides, converting from MPEG-2 to DivX doesn't produce good results.
I want to record using the Huffyuv codec in 352x240@30fps...
    Any suggestions ?
    Thanks in advance !
    Christian.

Dunno what kind of driver matrox provides (vfw or wdm, but I would hope the later), however it's possible to capture with virtualdub (with both) - there's even a specialized version of it (however it lacks some comfort).

You can try iuvcr too, but I don't think it soo great a lot of people say.

Virtualvcr is open-source, but recording seems to be an experimental feature.

I would like to capture too, but haven't found decent software that's 1. powerfull (huffyuv, works with btwincap) and 2. comfortable.

      Hi A_H,
The problem is that the G450 eTV only comes with VFW drivers... Matrox never released WDM drivers that would allow the use of other software like WinDVR or PowerVCR (unless they absolutely require Brooktree chips).
I'll look at the iuvcr program but I tested it a couple of years ago and the GUI didn't impress me.
      Thanks !
