  • Problem of full re-rendering with MJPEG in MSP6.

    Hi !

    When I capture a video sequence with my RR-G in PAL (25 fps), the frame rate is never exactly 25. It is 24.9xx or 25.0xx. So, when I put one of this video sequence to the MSP6 timeline and I want to visualize my project, all the MJPEG sequences have to be re-rendered to the exact frame rate (25 fps). It is very annoying. Is it possible to solve this problem ?

    Thanks!

    Floating frame rates are an inherent problem with PC-VCR.

    The best solution is to get AVI_IO and use it for your captures. It can lock the frame rate down exactly to 25fps (PAL) or 29.970fps (NTSC) so this isn't a problem. It also has some tricks that keep audio in synch even if the capture drops a frame here or there, which is also much less likely with AVI_IO than with PC-VCR.

    AVI_IO costs $25 USD for the full version, but most here will tell you it's money very well spent. You can get the demo and a ton more info here;
