VideoCD uses a packet size of 2324 bytes.

I'd turn the sequence end code off.

      Sciascia,
Nick seems to be having exactly the problems I would hope to avoid in an extra cost add-on. Thereby proving my first problem is indeed a real problem.

If you want to play with MPEG encoding and create files that may only playback on your computer fine, but my only interest in MPEG is as cross-platform video file output format with playback possibilities in at least some reasonable subset of standalone DVD players.

I'm not sure tying up MSP for 1 hour while the mpEGG! plugin runs, instead of letting TMPGEnc crank in the background at idle priority for 4 hours is much of an improvement (at least on windows 2000).

But I'll reserve judgement until a proper release is made. I won't buy it on principle if its an Intel only proposition.

Since mpEGG! installed an English shortcut to a pdf help file it never occured to me the pdf file might be in Japanese!

        Hi Doc,

Thank you for the speedy response.

        I tried what you suggested…

If I set the packet size to 2324 and click “apply/OK”, then click “advance” to see if the changes have been accepted the packet size resets to 2304!

However, even though the mpeg1 file is still non compliant it now does play back on my Pioneer 626 DVD!?

Do you have any more thoughts?

I assume having “image quality priority” set to complex gives the best results.

The quality seems on a par with TMPGEnc.

        Kind regards,

        Nick.

Has anyone found a way to buy this yet? I had all kinds of problems navigating the site and finally sent an email to Cinema Craft themselves. Unfortunately my ISP went boobies skyward and I was left without web access and no email (the message I sent was using their mail-server). Instead of trying to contact them again, maybe one of has alreasdy purchased it and you could point me in the right direction to buy it myself.
