I disabled all Real software by a reformat/reinstall two years ago. It was trying to take over my computers in an aggressive way I did not like. I now refuse to use any Real software, even if it means not being able to view some on-line stuff (usually not worth the download times, anyway).

If you install any of their free stuff, beware of spyware, in any case.

IF they can "push" ads to your desktop you have a (potential) security problem.
