MovieFactory 3 problems

I ran into 2 problems with MF3. First, when selecting menu points, the program locks up if I don't save it several times. Ordered another 512 meg of memory, so maybe that's the problem. I have a p 2.8G processor with HT.

Second, and more importantly, I'm getting an out of media disk space error when trying to burn with the following sizes:
4.17/4.38
4.48/4.71
Clearly I haven't exceeded the limits. My media is imation 4.7gb -R.

I have made several dvds that are under 4 gb and I am not including the project file. Also, I am using AC3 for audio.

Any thoughts?

My not enough disk space problem turned out to be on one of my hard drives. I was also buring a disk image. Still, I had over 7 gb of free space on hard drive. Must need more initially for some reason.

Can't answer for MF3, but I have noted that some other "authorers" require ~twice the free disk space than the media file length. I presume that this is because they generate temp files of the split video/audio before creating the VOBs etc.

Remember, the actual capacity of a consumer DVD disc is 4.37gb and not 4.7gb.
