  • Analog In -> 1394 on TRV510?

    I thought I once read on this forum that a Sony TRV510 could to analog to DV conversion without having to record to tape first. I can't find the post I thought I saw, and when I have the Firewire cable plugged in to my camera, the analog input seems to be disabled. Is it possible to use the camera as a converter, or did I perhaps misunderstand what I had read?

    Thanks,

    Brad

    ps. I just got an ADS Pyro 1394 card and am very pleased with it (and MediaStudio 6), just in case there are others thinking about getting one.

    Yes it is possible. The program on the site below temporary disables DVin capability (in NVRAM only. Not written to ROM) while prevents record capability in VTR(player) mode... read and download here:

    It works. 100% sure.

    and the home page can be interesting for you too:

    Enjoy
