  • 1394b drivers...

    Hello,

I recently acquired a 1394b firewire card. These are the system requirements:
    System Requirements PC
1394b functionality requires Windows® XP Professional
1394a functionality is supported in Windows® 98 Second Edition, Windows® Millennium Edition, Windows® 2000, Windows® XP Professional, and Windows® XP Home Edition
One available 64-bit, 66MHz (or higher) PCI slot or One available 64-bit, PCI-X slot

There are no drivers supplied and I'm running XP Professional. Windows detected the card and installed the Texas Instruments OHCI 1394 drivers, but these 'merely' provide 1394a support.

Are there 1394b drivers in Windows XP ?

Does it have brand/model or fcc number?

PS I have a link to a Dataoptic xp drivers?

    Any markings on the chip?(Initio,oxford...etc)

What about selecting the driver manualy, eg update drive , unselecect compatible hardware and look around?.

      This is the card:

(long story, but the card I have is an engineering test sample)
I will have to check for markings on the chip...

I didn't even search manually... (I must be getting tired )

Nope, they don't work... XP says 'driver cannot be loaded'

What about selecting the driver manualy, eg update drive , unselecect compatible hardware and look around?
There are 2 IEEE OHCI host drivers, one labled 'Texas Instruments', the other has no specification. Both are only 1394a.
