Any alternative to Picturegear to get stills from Sony camcorder?
Sorry, this isn't exactly a video editing related question, but ...
I have a TRV510 and can't find my Picturegear CD ANYWHERE. (I re-formatted my drive a while ago and just now wanted to transfer a still from my camera). I went to Sony's web site thinking a utility like this should be a free download, but they want $50 for it.
I never cared too much for Picturegear anyway and was hoping there was a freeware/shareware alternative. Ideally, I'm looking for a utility that could to the transfer over the Firewire port, but the normal serial port is OK too. I searched the web for hours, but no luck.
