Time grab handle gone in Windows Media Player 6.4 when viewing MPEG II clips???

The little "handle" that allows you to go to different parts of the clip has suddenly disappeared in WMP 6.4 when viewing MPEG II clips. It's there for MPEG I, DivX, and MJPEG clips. Actually it's there for every type of video file except MPEG II.

Tried rebooting. Nothing.

I remember this happened before and it didn't come back (the handle that is) until the next time I reinstalled Windows.

Any suggestions?
