Sorry to sound bitchy, but frankly, unless this can get worked out, I've had enough.
SETUP:
G400-TV Marvel card wt/BOB, in a win98SE, 700mhz athlon, CLEAN install, with graphics/sound/vidtool drivers to get it to the point where it SHOULD be capturing/outputting.
PROBLEM:
Despite everything being setup correctly, plugged in the right way, AND the test pattern showing up on the TV, I can't output ANY VIDEO at all from WinVCR. Sound goes out, yep. (after stuffing around with click 'line out'/then click 'File').
I've had this problem twice now. This time, rebuilding the machine hasn't done anything.
Can anyone shed some light? I've seriously started considering a capture card that wouldn't involve the breakout box of the marvel series. (Frankly, I marvel that anyone was paid to engineer it. The macrovision 'detection' is ridiculously sensitive, the cable connections can't be set (see the sound issue that keeps appearing on this forum), and lets not forget the awesome driver support from matrox. Nice 2000 support there guys....it can go on the mantle next to the openGL support.
Whew. Sorry for that last bit, that's the frustration of the last couple of hours trying to figure out why the heck a test video signal can reach the TV but NOTHING else. Hmmm......what's the DC10+ cost again?.......
