  • MANY Frames with same picture

Hmm, I captured a movie with my Marvel G400 and AVI_IO. Now I found three times, that there are MANY frames, with the same picture. So I can play normally till I arrive such a position. Then I see a still picture for minutes, and then it continues. Of course these minutes of the the movie are not recorded.

That means you are experiencing lots of frame drops. When AVI_IO sees a drop it duplicates the previous frame to keep the audio in synch.

What's your system look like and what kind of capture were you trying to do?

But there is this button "detect signaldrop after #of drops". I set this to 3, so when there are 3 drops the capture system is initialized again. I was capturing a movie from my cable TV and, by the way, the first 50 minutes were captured fine.

      My system:
      PII @ 400, 320 MB, ASUS P2B
      VERY fast RAID0 System
      Marvel G400
      SB Live
      Windows 2000

Capture settings: Full Resolution, MJPEG with best Quality.
