  • Ulead Media Studio Pro 7 & MJPEG

I'm using Ulead Media Studio Pro 7 to edit video capured by Fast AV Master MJPEG card.
To capture video I'm using Windows 98SE with AV Master drivers.
To edit I'm using UMS 7 in WinXP without AV Master drivers.
I want to use special MJPEG codec - PicVideo2.
But when I use this codec, all of my video clips in timeline are beeing recompressing
If I use the integrated MJPEG compressor (in UMS) it works, but this codec is terriblly slow

    In UMS 6.5 it works.

Make sure you have "Perform SmartRender" enabled in MSP7. But you probably knew that.

As I understand it, if you wish to avoid re-rendering, you must use the same codec as during capture, not just an equivalent one.

No, codecs needn't be exactly same.
The MJPEG codec for capturing is Fast AV Master (hardware codec).
It not works in WinXP - so I use PicVideo - in MSP 6.5 ok!
In MSP 7 there is an integrated MJPEG Compressor codec, which is the default codec to handle MJPEG formats (works ok without recompression)
        But it is very slow.
I want to use another one...
