  • DVD Playback in Win2000 win2k (green flash/stripes/lines)

Hey, This _MAY_ resolve some of the problems with the dreaded green flash/stripes/lines problem. I've had this problem since I installed Win2k Windows 2000. When I try to play a DVD, the DVD plays but lines appear overlaying the video giving it a green screen effect and they flash on an off. I looked on this forum and found nothing to get an answer, only driver reinstallations and other pointless crap that didn't do anything. So I went to Matrox forums and found nothing but RMAs RMAs RMAs. NOW I didn't want to send this shiznit back cuase it worked before and I really love this card...so I continued my search...it seems to me that the way the Matrox resolves conflicts/problems that customers have with their cards it they RMA them..and get them sent back and replaced. Which I don't see how this could fix may problems unless it was seriously defective, which I don't think often happens. But anyway to get back on topic I was just about to give up and I found a little post titled "DVD Playback in Windows 2000" which is what MY problem dealed with. It turns out the Matrox's DVD player doesn't support Win2k Windows 2000, so this may solve some of the problems that people have been having if they are running Win2k Windows 2000.

    Just a thought.

Update in the Win2k Windows 2000 battle of the Green flash/stripes/lines...Macrovision is turning on IN THE PLAYER. Not on teh TV Playback. It is turning it on at the source for some reason.
