RT.X10 picture quality and random reboots

I have just set up my RT.X10 and am capturing analogue PAL video (no DV camcorder yet). If I capture in Premiere 6.5 I have no problems. If I capture with AVI_IO the screen starts exhibiting pink vertical lines after a few seconds and locks up after a minute or so and sometimes just reboots when AVI_IO is launched. I am using RT.X10 Xtra drivers.

Am I doing something wrong? It happens with both raw .avi and huffYUV. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Why are you using AVIO when you have an RT.x10? Use the breakout box to capture your Analog video.

I am using the Breakout box to connect using SVHS and stereo audio but to actually capture I have a choice of Premiere 6.5 or AVI_IO (I suppose I could also try VirtualDub). Premiere is a bit of an overkill as all I really want to do is timed captures and usne VD to edit out adverts and convert to Divx.

Anyone interested in an RTX.10 boxed as new (I am open to offers)? I might as well get a Radeon All-In-Wonder or similar.
