D8, rm95emul, LPT-LANC cable success!
Since there was a thread of this a few months back I thought I mention my success in enabling the white balance menu on a Sony D8 TRV120 camcorder.
Took me awhile to scrounge up an N-channel enhancement mode MOSFET and 2.5mm plug, but once I did, making the cable was pretty easy.
I got the cable schematic, links to rm95emul.exe software, and camcorder hex codes from http://lea.hamradio.si/~s51kq/DV-IN.HTM
If you are comfortable using a hexadecimal editor to "patch" code and know how to do XOR logic to fix the checksum its pretty easy.
