  • software replacement codec for dmb1?

I used to have a Marvel G200 in my machine and thus have several clips left on my drive that were use the dmb1 encoder/decoder.

Since upgrading to a Millenium G400, I can no longer view those same clips. Is there a software codec that can 'read' files captured with the G200? I would like to convert them to MPEG-1, eventually.

Try the Morgan Multimedia MJPEG codec. There should be a link in the Downloads section to your left. Works great, especially for a software codec.

Pegasus Imaging PICVideo2 works well and is free for personal use. All you have to do is register, they Email a registration code.

Yup. I use PICVideo all the time with good results. Using quality 20 on a decently fast system you can capture about 5 mb/s.
