My sulking was highly limited by two facts:
1. the Tampa Bay Lightning, owned by Bill Davidson who also owns the the Detroit Pistons basketball team, won the Stanley Cup.
If not the Wings then why not the Lightning since so many of us snowbirds end up in TB anyhow?
2. as if on cue Mr. Davidsons Detroit Pistons won the NBA championship in a walk over the LA Lakers....in a manner very similar to the scenario I posted here at the start of the season
