Since DVD-R is so new the info is pretty sketchy. In generic terms Pioneer says their version "should" play on "most" new decks, whatever that means.

Yes, I do record off digital cable. My box has S-Video outputs.

Is "Battlebots" the same as what we call "Robot Wars" over here in the UK ?

If so, how do I bribe one of you guys to take a look at your captured footage ?

BattleBots is a show on The Comedy Channel where people build combat robots and fight them. There are classes based on weight and they fight in a closed arena using radio controls.

Some of these are huge, weighing hundreds of pounds, and use weapons ranging from high speed circular saw blades to hydraulic arms with spikes. Also popular are wedge shaped machines that can run inverted.

Adding to the "fun" are hazards in the combat arena. These run from a giant hammer to saws that pop out of the floor and spikes around the perimeter.

I'll make an MPEG up of a short section and send it to you by email if you can handle a few megs worth. Well?
