  • Where can I download "flames"

Can anyone tell me where I can download a small video of "flames", preferably on a single-coloured (or colored for you US guys!) background.

It would only have to be a couple of seconds long as I can add some video filters to give me some variety.

The idea is to use it as an overlay clip, hence the requirement for a "blue-screen" or single-coloured background.

I'm an expert on sending flaming e-mails: I'll send you one in HTML, if you like, with a bright blue background. My favourite (favorite for the nationally disadvantaged) subject is Bill Gates. Will this do, instead of an image???

Aaaah, no. Not the flames I am looking for. Feel free to flame Billy anytime!

Oh, Brian - you really are terrible!

If you can get your hands on the MSPro 5.2 update disk set there is a set of 210 sequentially numbered fire *.tga's that can be imported as an image sequence.

The rub is that I don't *think* transparancy is enabled on these files. A batch conversion could fix this. Also they are in 720x486 format and would have to be changed to your project settings.

They are on the content CD in the Video/Artbeats/ReelFire folder. They are called "Ceiling Fire".

Also in the ArtBeats folder is an explosion effect called "HotFlash" and a set of masks for it.
