  • NEW: TMPGEnc 12C - with MPEG-2

Don't get too excited...the MPEG-2 turns itself off after a month. There are also fixes for the DV problem and several others. The "whats new" list is quite long.

It will be interesting to see if it does stop MPEG2 after a month. As this program does not get installed it doesn't access the registry so the only other way is a built in calender or is that statement for the lawyers from MPEG LA??

      it does.
      1. Try to set the computer clock forward one month: it stops.
      2. Set back the clock again: the program doesn't work anymore...
It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings...

        paulw,

        Before you try.

        1) export your registry as text.

        2) do what Fred H suggests.

        3) export your registry as text again to a differnet file.

        4) "diff" the two files.

Should show the key being used.

        --wally.

You are indeed correct Danial Jackson. The MPEG2 module does expire after 30 days. It is also correct that if you remove the appID within the registry key that you have a further 30 days etc..
