Looking for DVD authoring program...

Hi!

What would be the best DVD authoring program for home user? And easy to use?
It should have a support for AVI files (DivX, XviD) and it should support at least one subtitle stream (by importing txt, srt or sub file)...

Ulead DVD Workshop 2.2, without doubt. Not the cheapest, but excellent in features and incorporates a multi-sub-title editor, with export/import to txt files.

Hi,

Just some more food for thought. Ulead just released DVD WorkShop 2.0 Express -- a scaled down version of DVD WS 2.2, but might suit your needs...

You can also find some good books on using it out there

Not having used the other programs mentioned, I can't say how they compare, but you should at least check out TMPGEnc DVD Author.

For the "home user", which I consider myself to be, Ulead MovieFactory 3 Disc Creator is good. I find it's more than enough for "home movies" that I can distribute to friends and family.
