  • Dual output A/V cables?

Does anyone know where I can get a set of dual output A/V cables? By that, I want to plug into the A/V out of one device and run it to two devices at the same time. Yes, I know I can get a switch box, but that won't work for me.

I have tried searching the web for them, but am not having much luck.

    Thanks for the help!

This is audio only, not A/V.

Warning: Y cables may cause an up to 6 dB drop in signal levels depending on the output impedance of the source and the input impedance of the two sinks, assuming they are equal in value. Normally, you would require a buffer amp with two independent outputs, especially if the two input impedances are different.

What you need is an AV distribution amplifier, aka as a "DA". These can run anywhere from $50 for an el-cheapo up to multi-kilobuck pro models. Examples:

        1x2: http://www.kramerelectronics.com/ind...ec.asp?p=VM-2N

        1x3: http://www.kramerelectronics.com/ind...sc.asp?p=103AV

        1x6: http://www.cablestogo.com/product.as...2402&sku=41064

Kramer in particular has quite a selection including models that can handle composite, S-Video, component and other video I/O's.
