  • G450 DDR @ 89MHz AGP bus?

    Hi all,

Is anyone successfully using a 32MB G450 at an 89MHz AGP bus speed (BX board@133MHz FSB)?

I'm trying to decide between buying a new G450 card or obtaining a secondhand G400 card which will be happy at the 89MHz AGP bus.

    Cheers, - Simon

As far as I know, matrox cards do not work properly with 89mhz agp-clock-frequenzy.

set it to agp1x and you shouldn't have any problem.

Don't trust anything from Tom's, especially Vid card info.

Tom's hardware is as reliable as coïtus interruptus (sorry for this comparison )

My G400 runs just fine at 89MHz AGP, and will even run at 100MHz AGP. I've heard many others with positive results at 89MHz AGP.

it doesn't produce any instability over here (I've been running it like that for a few months now).
