    Converting mov to avi

    I have got few movies in the QuickTime format and I'm gonna convert them to avi.
    Long time ago I have used MOV2AVI software for such purposes.
    I guess now there are much better tools.
    I am looking for any program which doesn't destroy the quality.
    Anybody has a suggestion?

    I'm curious as well. I know that the pro version of quicktime can convert mov files. But I want something either cheaper or shareware, because I have only one clip I want to convert.
