  • Huffyuv to MJPEG conversion = jittery motion

    Hi,

I captured some video using my Marvel G400-TV with the YUY2/Huffyuv setup (704x480). There is no frame drops in the entire capture set.

After I edited the video with MSP6, I created the final AVI files with Matrox MJPEG (highest quality at 704x480). I wanted to do this so I can send it to Hi8 tape. Whenever a scene has any motion in it, the playback is very jittery. The odd item is that created MPEG files are fine.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

Set the quality to 20. This is 5 mb/s and considerably higher than Matrox MJPeg's 3 mb/s.

        That worked! Thank you!

You are a genius! Any other items that I should be setting for better output?

          Hi,

Is this the quality setting for MJPEG? Where would I look for this in MSP6?

I'm getting some strange results again. I tried creating the file using Field Order B, but the final created files (after editing) are jittery.

          Thanks
