    Hi Alex,

Although this is a Matrox Hardware question, is does apply specifically to a video problem, so you'd be better of asking it in the <a href="http://forums.murc.ws/cgi-bin/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number=2&SUBMIT=Go" >Desktop Video</a> forum.

Maybe one of our moderators will help you out by moving it there

Meanwhile, what are your system specs? What's your hard drive config? What drivers? What version of Premiere etc?

    Regards,

    Paul.

PC-VCR doesn't allow to capture with other resolutions. You can use VirtuaDub (free) or Avi-Io (not free) instead. Both has multifile capture function to bypass 2Gb limit.

Have you tried losless huffyuv compression? It allows lossless full res capturing without RAID system. I got only few dropped frames (30 min capture) with my Marvel G400 and @750 Athlon using VirtuaDub. You can find installation instructions in this forum and tips for VirtuaDub in http://www.vcdhelper.com/mjpeg.htm .

Thanks, I'm looking at that now..the reason I want to cap uncompressed is because when I capture with mjpeg it leaves a 2 cm big black line at the top, when I capture without mjpeg it doesnt do this..is this a problem with the matrox cards or is it something wrong here?
