The SP2 is problem-free for ~95% of users, now that many of the conflicts have been sussed out. Please remind us of what your problem is and we may be able to help you. If we can't, then there is an experimental patch available which will generate a log file to send in to one of the beta testers (I haven't received any, yet!!!). This will enable Ulead to find out why your system isn't working.
I sent the following to another forum on 13 October and I know DocM sent something similar here:
OK, Are you willing to help us and help yourself? Anyone with capture
problems with SP2 is invited to do the following, sent to us by Ulead.
Note that this is a beta trial and there is no guarantee that it will
work, but it can be uninstalled. You can send me off-list, as an e-mail
attachment, or any of the other beta testers, the 11_8_41_15.log file in
C:\ so that Ulead can analyse what is not working with capture.

For MSP7 SP2 problems, we made a patch trying to solve some of the problems.
The patch will do the following things:
1. Update 5 files in \Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\MPEG.
This is for the MPEG-2 problem you mentioned. We can regenerate the same
problem only in bit rate below 2000kb. It's caused by VBR Accurate Bit Rate
Control, so we update following files to fix it.

2. Update 1 file in MSP7 install path, it'll disable VE to mount
DirectX audio filter. We do this temporally to test if the DX audio filter
initialization really causes the start up fail.

3. Add a new key in \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead MediaStudio Pro\7.0\msp.ini. This is for Video
Capture related problems. It'll make Video Capture to write a log file looks
like 11_8_41_15.log in C: root. If someone having VC problem who can give us
the log file, it would help us a lot because we can not regenerate the same
VC problem.
