  • Might be possible to use new LSX with MSP6

    While lurking through the many many sites and forums about VCD and SVCD creation, I stumbled on a post that caught my eye.

    Unfortunately, I do not have MSP6 installed anymore.

    Anyone willing to give this a try?

    SVCD in Ulead Video Studio 5 now is possible

    Hi!
    Unfortunately, there isn't any info about this possibility on Ulead's web sites.

    But you can make SVCD compliant MPEG movie in UVS 5.0 (and in Ulead MSPro also).

    To do it, you should download latest update for UVS 5.0 from Ulead's ftp:

    ftp://ftp.ulead.com/pub/Updates/VideoStudio5/UVS5FullEngPatch-retry.exe

    Update containts latest Ligos Go-Motion engine (the same as in lsx-mpeg plug-in v1.2)
    After installation you will able to make SVCD.

    If you want to make SVCD in Ulead MSpro 6.0,
    just copy following files from Ulead Video Studio 5.0's dir to Ulead MSpro 6.0's dir :

    GOMOTION.DLL
    LSXCONFIG.DLL
    LSXMPEG.DLL
    LSXMPGK7.DLL
    LSXMPGP2.DLL
    LSXMPGP3.DLL
    LSXMPGP4.DLL
    LSXMPXP2.DLL
    LSXMPXP3.DLL
    LSXMPXP4.DLL
    MPEG2.DLL

    Have fun!

    This patch is now on the Ulead VideoStudio5 page;

    http://www.ulead.com/tech/vs_ftp.htm

    When I tried this with the original VS5 files I lost the Advanced menu.

    When I did this I was including another file not in this list;

    GoMotionMpegFilterUlead.ax

    and there is a new file in the update;

    LSXMPGK7.DLL

    I'll give the new setup a shot and report later.
