I'm looking to upgrade my PIII-500 editing system. Fry's has a "special" with a 1GB PIII and Abit VH6-II motherboard for about the price of a PIII-800 and slotkit on the web which would be the best I could do with my current ASUS P2B (which has worked very well).
VH6-II has Via 694 chipset according to their ad :-( Anyone have success with this board to do video editing? DV is my main priority and I'm only running windows 2000.
"Special" is good thru Tuesday Apr3 so I don't have too much time to research it. Fry's is a nasty drive from my side of town, so I don't go there for anything that has much chance of needing to be returned.
--wally.
