  • RT2K IBP export

I've recently purchased an RT2K, I then captured to MPEG2-AVI-I frame. I have tried a number of times to export to MPEG2 IBP.avi so that I can use the convertor to .mpg file for CD burning but every time the mbps rate of the file ends up >7.0 mbps. I have adjusted the rate in the dialog box even to constant from variable and it makes know difference has anyone got any ideas. Regards

    Do this all the time.

There are two options available: custom and DVD compliant. Both stay under 7 mbps here, but custom generally creates a file a few percent larger than DVD compliant does.

IF your content drives the bitrate to the wall custom might stray over 7 mbps by a little. Try moving the slider down a smidgin.

This using 3.0 PR2 drivers under both Win98SE/Premiere 5.1c (yup, it works) and Win2K/Premiere6.

      Thanks for your comment.
I have already tried this, setting a 5 mbps bitrate both custom, dvd, variable and constant, yet final reported bitrate by convertor program is 7.76.
I am using ver.2 matrox so now that v3 is out I'll download it and give that a try.
      Again many thanks.
