  • Decent active speakers for NLE

Looking for a good set for a reasonable price, not high-end studio speakers.
I remember some years ago Videologic had the Sirocco Crossfire speakers, but nowadays it's all 6, 7, or 8.1 multichannel b*llsh*t with PMPO being the nastiest four-letter-word in years.

    Any tips and/or experiences?

Depends on budget. Alesis or Behringer seem reasonable vfm.

EDIROL (Roland) seem reasonably priced (M-10), and are sold sometimes as part of a budget video editing suite.

I just bought a pair of ESI Near05 speakers and I love them!!!

So clean and crisp sound with a great dynamic range, the price was good too... $350CDN

the only issue is that the volume control is in the back, but at least you can control the audio from the PC's mixer, or if you have an external mixer even better.

      I strongly recommend the Near05's
