G400DH does only 16bit overlay with avi videos ?

Is it possible to use 24 or 32 bit color depth to watch avi movies with TV-Out ?
First I thought I have to reduce the resolution but this doesn't solve the problem !

I believe overlay is supported in 16 or 32 bit. Just try & find out...

Yes it works
- watching TV
- watching DVDs directly

but not for AVI-files and also not when vob-files are copied to the harddisk and played with a DVD-Player !

Do you have DVDMax enabled?

Yes, I use the same configuration for all.
TV-Out (PAL-Europe), DVDMax enabled.

And if I set a Color Palette of 65536 colors, I also can watch AVI-videos (only the quality is bad).
Setting the Color Palette to 16Mio or True Color (32bit) doesn't work.
