Avid Unity Media Network.
I prefer the MainConcept, which is as good as the TMPGEnc and faster. I've heard good things about the Canopus Procoder 2, but it is very expensive. There is a cut-down version in Procoder Express which also has many adepts. I haven't tried either of these, though.
Thanks for the MainConcept link - their website doesn't seem to mention an AC-3 encoder though.
Maybe I'll have to get a separate products rather than a single offering?
Thanks,
Taliska
AAAH! You caught me on the hop there; I use the MC encoder as integrated in MediaStudio Pro, which does specify AC-3 as one option. However, I would be surprised if it didn't in its native form. Have you downloaded the demo version to check on this? I see on their web site there is a drop-down dialogue box for Audio mode, so presumably there is some choice.
