  • HDTV Capture Card

    I was looking at getting a new Capture card/device. Since I switched to PCI Express I have not been able to use anything that I have already (Marvel G400, Asus V7700 Deluxe). My requirements are not great. I do want to watch TV with some capturing. I saw the ATI HDTV Wonder and for $150 to $200 I am considering this. Anyone have experience with this card?

    Somebody started a thread on that card a while back over at the AVS HTPC forum.

    I run a PCI MyHD card myself (MDP-120 w/DVI daughtercard) and haven't kept up on what's happening in the PCI Express arena.

      I don't think the ATI HDTV Wonder comes with a PCI Express interface. I just purchased one from CompUSA for $149.99 about a month ago. It works well with my AIW 97000Pro. Now I just need to purchase that Dell 2405FPW screen and I'll be able to watch HDTV in its full glory.

        Good to know it works well.

        By PCI Express, I meant that I could no longer use my integrated AGP cards.

        What connectors does it have?

          You might want to check that thread I referenced.

              If you want one without the "broadcast flag", better hurry.

              http://www.pchdtv.com/ is linux oriented but should work as long as you have a PCI slot.

              This is a seperate tuner/capture card, not a PC video display card.

                Also: Matrox's HD/PCIe card specifically for video editors, the APVe, which also includes a capture engine, though not a tuner;

                This includes WYSIWYG plugins for Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Combustion 3, 3ds max and LightWave 3D.
